Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, known as Sir MV had a flair for complex engineering problems and nation building. It is to honour his achievements and contribution towards the country that India celebrates Engineer’s Day on his birthday, 15th September.
The events were :
CESA logo making competition was held on Engineer’s day in which there was a huge
response from different departments including FE students. The event had no compulsion of
digitized logo ,students could also make handmade logos and present them in front of the judges.
Webvista was an event where students were supposed to make a web page design. The problem statement given was ‘Design a web page for Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering i.e. PCCOE’.
The basic expectations from the students were:
- Responsive Design
- Ease of contact
- Good dynamic Content
Students were supposed to make an Android app of their choice. The competition was introduced considering the latest trend and interest of the students to find solutions of the daliy life problems by making simple mobile apps.
The main purpose of this event was to provide a platform for exchange of ideas and to display creativity in portraying thoughts. They were evaluated on the basis of content, presentation, knowledge & how innovating the idea was.
The purpose of this event was to get innovative ideas that would digitize the computer department.The participant’s had to present their idea in the form of a powerpoint presentation.
A Coding Competition for the students of Engineering (TE & BE), MCA and MBA students to analyze their coding skills and implementation logic, basic but core knowledge of C/C++ Programming Language And to motivate the talent inside them.
Hacker Cup is the official Name of the Facebook online coding competition which tests the basic coding skills and knowledge of algorithms of the participants.The Hackercup of Anantya was conducted to test the same skills of S.E and F.E students.
The winners of each event were felicitated by cash prizes and trophies.
